    Ok that is really amazing...

Finally the Crysis dragon has been slayed...

    EDIT:

Memory ocing was very fruitfull (30%). But core ocing was a bit disappointing...

What happened to the 1 GHz ATI slide :)

Nah dodgy review... They stuffed up.

    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/EAH5970/29.html

The 5970 clearly uses more power...

Well the 5970 wins on pretty much ever level.

Except overclocking, wouldn't even bother attempting it by looking at the performance gains and the headroom, plus it runs hot already.

Of course but there is a certain excitement in being one of the first to get one .... waiting for and seeing the delivery van pull up then unwrapping the parcel is a grown-up's christmas ...

    :D

Well isnt that a nice change instead of the 5% here and 10% there that has become the norm with new gpu releases.

    Go ATI ...

With the shortages around, this shouldn't be the case for the next few months...

Prices have actually gone up since the 5850 and 5870 launched...

I doubt those benchmarks now. All the other reviews do show a performance lead over the GTX295 but not nearly by that much...

    I think the stuffed up.

I am Australian I am well aware of what is sold in Australia, I have graced this planet for a fair while so I do not have a pubescent view of economics, I don't see any quality differences in the physical CD and in fact I don't even fathom how you could form that opinion when the hardware is made in pretty much the same place and distributed around the planet. If its a shit quality recording in Australia it will be shit in the US. Again the ATI HD 5770 is after conversion around the same price in Australia as in the US, why is this so when Australia is apparently such a small market that lack of volume jacks up the prices? Yet we see a direct contradiction to what we are being fed.

My view is well rounded, unlike some who suck up anything they are told as gospel without living it.

Anyway I am done on this if sheeple want to run around with their heads up their arse and not ask or press for an honest answer then why do I care I know my card will be near to MSRP, and not a jacked up special price for stralya cause its a long ways from anywhere don't ya know...................

Most reviews seem to be using the beta 4's whereas techpowerup used the beta 5's which may of given a boost in Crysis results...weird none the less.

One day video cards will get a reboot and we'll go back to 9700pro sized cards, the 5970 is ridiculous in size, laughingly ridiculous.
