Tox why don't you use BC2 as a test game?

More people play it than any of the games you test.

So much for the 'performance per watt' the ATI camp have been pimping for so long. Its using almost power as a GTX 570 now and only just keeps up! All I can say to ATI resting on their laurels is....

Fail at EA for not adding a built in benchmark to BC2

Testing with FRAPs when you do as many video cards as I do is just impossible.

The fluctuation is too much as well I rekon.

Just having a quick look at reviews....

has to be some kind of driver issue

The 580 smash's it hands down.

Power usage on the 6950 is pretty good though. Only 15W more than a 5850.

I got a feeling that there might be some driver issues going on here for the 6970, at least in some games because the performance increase over the 5870 in some games is basically negligible.

It's not going to compete with the GTX 580

    The price tells us that

    So 1408 shaders of the 6950 = 1600 shaders of the 5870?

+1 to bfbc2 in TT reviews from now on (It's the only benchie I care about:lol:)

The 6970's performance is a joke compared to the 68xx cards and also the NV competition. :Paranoid: :thumbdn:

    Lol @ driver issue complaints.

They have had an extra month to iron out such kinks, i don't see how this isn't the real deal.

Its the only game i ever look at reviews, i dont giv e a toss about any other. Thats seems to be the general consensus with OCAU alot of us only play BC2. Vietnam tomorrow boys!!! 3 day headstart, i hope the DL start tonight :D

True winner the 6850. Even grab 2 Gigabyte 460 SOC and OC them to 950 core and see what they do!!! 1 will give a GTX480 a good run for the $$

I've seen people complain about microstutter with a CF setup though. Is this still an issue?

It's definitely weird, AMD will lose a fair amount of customers because of this.

    Pricing is their saving grace.

For my 1920x1080 display, I don't think I need to worry about CF just yet :p

TOX why do you continue to use PhysX in the Vantage test for NV GPU's? :thumbdn:
