Wasnt games last priority? :) why are we still talking about it.
Seriously go to dick Smith, buy a 3.5 mono to RCA cable (around $5-$10) plug the small plug into your digital out on your card and plug the rca into your amp and you will have digital.
I have tried both this method and the other method (daughter card plugs into digital out and has a small box with both RCA and Optical). There is no difference in sound as you guessed it the audio signal goes to the amp as 1 & 0's & your amp will decode. So it really depends on the quality of your amp at the end of the day.

Oh, games were number 3, but that doesn't mean they're not important :leet:

I can get the digital I/O module for $25, then I can use optical and coaxial in AND out... woohoo :p

i'm having a change of heart with the whole creative thing... i don't know whether i'll need EAX 3/4/5... I really like the on-the-fly encoding to DD and DTS feature of the Auzen X-Plosion 7.1 card

DTS cards like the x-plosion, b-enspirer or sondigo inferno seem like a better prospect than the creative cards.

    any thoughts?
