Audioengine A5 or?

    Why not go for a 3 or 3.1 channel setup. If you setup your receiver/whateveryou'reusing so that you have front left, front right and centre, most of the dialogue will come through the centre and you'll be fine.

    i had average to poor 5.1 and changed to the A5s and i dont miss anything about surround as everything sounds better :D i watch alot of tv and movies on mine and no issues with dialogue (as long as you arent playing a surround track out of a 2.0 system you shouldnt miss anything)

    Well, have a Xonar DX and currently some new Z-5500s returned under warranty, which so far, I have regretted buying. No dount they will be returned before long, but Im hoping they give the option to exchange so I can get Edifier S730 or similar, something that is decent for music.

    THrough those speakers, very much doubt you will benefit from ripping in any higher quality.
