Took delivery of my new 30D early last week and was itching to have a proper play with it. I love it so much, so worthwhile. I was also fortunate enough to borrow my mates 70-200 F4L, another wonderful piece of equipment.

    Heres just a few:

Theres a few more on my Flickr page, took heaps on the day, but only decided to throw a few up there.

Please feel free to c&c. Now I am off to clean my sensor properly :Paranoid:

Geez there is a couple of shark dust specs there

I like the angle of #3, but I feel the DoF is either too large or too small (i.e. either get the whole lot in focus, or isolate one of the cars more). The others appear nice and sharp.

What shutter speed were you using?

just thought the images were so well exposed and so perfect they looked like a computer game. SO, fired up live for speed took a screenie and tried to get something similar...

OP feel free to pm me asking to remove if inappropriate

They're all great, but #3 is the pick IMO, great composition makes it a really strong image! :)

I prefer no.3 myself also. Nice angle highlighting the upcoming curves for the racers.

thankyou all very much for the comments, greatly appreciated.

phreeky: yeah unfortunately i did miss the mark on that one, i still threw it up though coz its an awesome angle, and something other than a panned shot :D Was switching between 1/100s and 1/200s shutter speed, depending how fast the cars were going past. Was mostly using 1/160s

    raven: no offence :)
