    Hi Guys,

had my NBN setup yesterday (100/40 HFC) and I have FTP setup on my NAS (DS213j) and I am only getting 10-15mbps when downloading remotely. Speeds are pretty consistent but I was wanting to get closer to the 40mbps upload limit on my connection. Router is an Archer C3150, Any ideas?

PASV enabled? I think active is faster.

    rDNS setup properly?

Passive is not being used and DNS is correct. Seems to be a limitation of my router perhaps?

is that the same upload speed as when you do a speed test from home ? eg, around 15 ? if so then could be router.
do you get full speed when home to your ftp ? (internal network)

    Program you're using?
    How many files?

I've had better throughput with 10 files simultaneously on Filezilla as opposed to 1

DNS != rDNS, check with your ISP if you've got reverse DNS setup properly for your IP.

I am getting pretty much full speed on my NBN and when I test via FTP on the lan the transfer speeds are over 100mb's so the NAS can do it.

I have tried multiple smaller files and also a single larger file, The total upload remained the same.

I tried connecting with the IP address and it made no difference.
