    That open section is normally covered in plexi glass and used for observation . The top gunner fired from the dome right behind the cockpit with twin 50 cals


    good shots none the less

    Yeah view would be awesome right up until you saw an enemy fighter heading towards you.

    the front portion should have the best view its the bombardiers seat. plus the top spot is for the navigator so he can use sextants to do his navigating if required.
