Defyant kicks his old thread into the dumpster.

As a side note, Romour has it there might be an X1E in the works for a larger build plate. Will kick the rest of your printers into that same dumpster.

Did you see Nathan Build Robot? he showed the the patents ! i was seriously holding out for the K1Max.... but after TNL review of the K1 i think that idea can go into that dumpster as well :D

God seriously if BL release a 300+ printer that can run on the same eco system and have AMS support my life is complete

Still got Sunday to clean that garage.

Only the first half, not much meat in that sandwich.

I did watch a review or 2 on the K1 and yeah nothing special there. Creality is great of a budget printers but they don't seem to be able to make a high quality option.

I jus did a motor swap on one of my P1P's, was simple and fast enuf to do. Noticed that the filament swipers only ever swipe on one side. Take the screw out and flip the white teflon around and you get double the life :)

Just got tracking info on the p1s how's your looking?

What happened to the motor and was the motor replaced under warranty? Also, how many print hours was it at?

How are people going with the P1 series and printing in ABS? From the specs it has a max bed temp of 100C, which is a little lower than I would like for ABS.

Now that the P1S has been announced I am seriously considering one with the AMS instead of building the Voron 2.4 and ERCF

I used 100C for all of my ABS prints on my Ender3 ( with enclosure) Did not notice much of a change over 110.

For me those high end kit printers are a really hard sell now. For a premium kit you can pretty much buy a X1C and you have to spend a couple of days building it, get no warranty and then need to tune it a whole bunch. If you want a hobby build sure (its a hobby pretty much counters all arguments) but even then why not build a VoronV0 if all you want is a project and buy a P1S.

Confusing, normally the package is picked up before its in transit. 1 day delivery to Perth is pretty much impossible ( for $50), I'm guessing I'll see it this time next week.

Yeah, that was the situation with the Voron V1 (I built the first Voron outside of mak, and have the V1.003 serial). If I hadn't bought most of the Voron 2.4 parts in the 11.11 sale last year I think i would jump at the Bambu, especially as a lot of my printing is building things for other hobbies, rather than the 3d printing itself.

Just stings to buy it all twice.

I feel you. I have an Ender 3 that has been upgrade so may times that I could have bought half an X1C lol. Good old sunk cost fallacy.

Yeah, the Ender 3 v2 has been doing fairly well too. But it was only purchased to print the Voron parts anyway (yet has been printing everything else while i never get around to building the Voron).

So I'm wanting to get a printer, the X1C looks awesome, however for 1/2 the price, for general ABS / PLA hobbyist level printing would a P1S be sufficient?

Not so far :D First thing i noticed is its got bearing not bushings.... not that there's a prob from my end, just a nice touch... Chamber light fans etc, only 250g of pla+ now not a whole roll. Love the darker look too the plastic imo better than the alu sides less ringing and noise. Printing a boat now.

Do you not use the multi material feed when just printing single colour? Or is it possible to leave it off the top for height?
