    I prefer the first and last for the colours and mist. The last is probably the best imo.

    Casual photographer, not pro at all so just my opinions and I apologise because they are not really positive.

    There is nothing that I find beautiful in the shots. The foreground just looks like shrubs and the dam itself is unremarkable & a bit out of focus.

    4 is the best but I think you need to work on your positioning/cropping so there aren't random distracting branches in the shots.
    Maybe get up really close to the dam?

    My critiques are that you've captured the sunset, but it seems to be coming from behind the barrage. I would have loved to seen more light in the image.

    There's a tonne of water flowing through there during that photo as well, so perhaps a longish exposure with a tighter composition. Get up close and emphasise how big the barrage actually is. If you go to flickr and type in Rockhampton Barrage you should get some nice long exposures to have a look at.
