I played the hell out of 3, particularly loved the close quarters update. Smmaaasshed it.

Have barely touched 4 because to me it just felt like I'd paid again for the same game :wired:

BC2 is still my favourite - vehicles were fun but generally couldn't be used to dominate matches, and most buildings were fully destructible (and seemed to be easier to destroy.

I pretty much only played Rush on BC2, TDM in 3 and 4. IMO I think they got BF3 pretty much right in the last 6 months before BF4 launched - I got so sick of the hit rego / lag that I stopped playing it.

i played a lot of 3, bought 4 and never played it until this week, im enjoying 4 a lot at the moment, but i am at the bottom of the food chain as everyone has high ranks and all the gear unlocked where im just running around with a pea shooter or a sniper rifle that grazes the enemy unless you get the shot in between the eye balls of the enemy, still enjoying it a lot though!

i dont have any of the dlc and dont see the point in buying it unless i can get it cheap as 5 comes out this year and i know i will buy it, not saying i will play it, i didnt play 4 till now lol.

but choo choo im waiting at the station to board the train!

Premium is now $15 and this week they are giving away the Dragon's Teeth DLC on Origin. Apparently giving away more of the DLCs in the lead up to BF5.

Yeah I felt like 3 and 4 were very very similar.

I loved close quarters, I went really well on those maps! They were good for me as I'm pretty terrible at seeing people on the bigger maps and I usually get killed by some bugger and I don't know where they were.

2143 is very different to 'near-future' though.

BF4: Dragon's Teeth DLC is free on Origin right now: https://www.origin.com/en-au/store/free-games/on-the-house

Highlights include the Chain Link game mode, four new maps designed for CQ infantry instead of vehicles, and five new weapons including the Desert Eagle and Bulldog.

If you also own BFH, the Robbery DLC is free as well

guess we will find out very soon what there plans are for this version.

i too am hoping for ww1/2 style.

not sure i can see it happening though as all the techy shit like drones and mav, sraw and mbt law and all the other toys are not from the world war era and if they incorporate them into a ww style game i cant see it working. but who knows im not a dev or a designer. but i can see a lot of people not being happy if there toys are removed.
