i'll probably wait till i get paid in mid october. the game i'll be out on the following week so enough time to still get the enlister edition.

though i think titanfall 2 will lose out and i want to play that too.

Yeah seems smart, I've been burnt by pre-orders a few times, though Battlefield is usually a smarter choice than other game titles in that category.

buying the week before makes it feel less bad than pre-ordering months in advance.

when you buy from JB or any store, you're only gonna get an install disc that will activate the game in Origin, you wont ever even need the disc again after that.

then can just purchase Premium via the Origin store.

I usually always buy retail because I'm stuck on adsl2+ atm so downloading large games sucks. Atleast you get a jump start with retail and I cbf waiting several hours for it to download

after the failure of finding a cheaper origin based source to preorder the game via VPN, ill probably go this route..
theres a JB near work on the way home.
    cheers :)

given that ill wait til release and pick up a physical copy, but i might even wait a bit longer than that even.
as said earlier, battlefront has burned me and i wasnt big on bf4 sadly. gave hardline a complete miss. did enjoy bf1 beta though.
so probably wise to wait and see regardless :)

Im waiting for the sale in 6 months. Still like BF4 right now. $130 is just too much.

System Requirements are out for those who didn't get a chance to play the beta. For us who have, we know how it runs: brilliantly :D

The Intel side of the CPU I reckon is an exaggeration, I reckon my lounge room HTPC could run this game quite nicely.

My htpc played this fine (a little choppy occassionally but could have been wireless doing that because it didn't happen when my wife was off her laptop) on a i3 6100, 16gb ram and a gtx760 2gb. Medium details 1080p 50+ fps.

I would say the i5 recommendation is a bit overkill but likely just trying to match pricepoint of amd cpu.

agreed, i'm still running a i5 3570k and the game ran flawlessly. I didn't touch the graphics settings and it was still pretty enough for me and smooth. Using a 980Ti hybrid gpu.

This route doesn't get you the early enlister (start playing on the 18th instead of the 21st) bonus does it?

    My 2600k @4.4 w.1070 ran it at ultra 120-140fps.

    doubtful.

their website lists the 21st though
, and you'd think if early access were on offer through them it'd be a selling point.
i'd say thats an origin pre-order exclusive.

still, its a hefty tax to pay for early access though. and after their recent efforts i dont think ill reward their BS with a preorder. ill buy retail on 21st :)

good to know, have said before in my VPN tour of world post i didnt actually try russia as my paid VPN no longer has a presence there - i should have tried a free alternative ofc

Ended up shelling out for the super mega ultimate edition with all the expansions after I paid for the ea acres for $6 per month. Got 10% off the final price and gain access to the game on the 13th of October for the 10 hr trial thing they do.

    Pretty keen for this one

Even booked a week leave for the release.
