Well. I'll d/l the demo in the nxt few days, but from what i heard i shouldn't expect alot out of the shitbox of a game.

Well from what i've read. The bf range is dead in the water now.

I wonder if they tested the guns before making the game, I can't hit anything.

The guns, interesting crosshairs on most of them and not very accurate at all.
Though i do remember thinking the same thing back in the bf2 demo days, i guess i adjusted to the guns over time / patch changed them.

I am a bf2 fan, but i am seriously considering changing a fair chunk of bf2 time into bf2142. The 42 ranks and unlocks make things a bit more interesting, as in BF2 once you have unlocked everything the only thing you are achieving is grinding through the next 15,000 - 20,000 points to get another unlock.

The BF2142 ranking system seems as though it will be more rewarding.

Yeah, now that i've been playing a bit... recoil is huge, you would think in 150 years there would be less recoil then 2006 guns  .

I've noticed the mounted guns, even if u hold the turret still and fire, every shot goes in a differen't spot, its random or something.

You have to single shot otherwise you can't hit shit.

I keep getting 1 shoted with pistols.

Did you reserve that name using the BF veterans program thingy? :)

    Ditto, GoodjobeaPlayer.

We would like to thank you for playing BF2 mecka, now come play BF2142 so we can give you some payback.

Noticed that when I was in range and stabbed at him, nothing happened, he did the same to me but his worked.

Adding myself to the wiki as we speak.

Registering was a pain, ended up with a name like Coopzzzzzzz, just as almost every other random name was taken..

Game seems ok, but I'm not really in love with it. Seems to be just random flag capping, little teamwork, frequent death from nowhere and it won't let me run in 1280 1024:( 1024 768 looks bad on LCD.

Like the big Mech thingies even if they are bullet magnets and are useless against anything 2 inches higher than them...

Don't think I'll rush out and buy it though.

Command line lets you run 1280x1024.

    Well, I've found my calling.

I'm shit at shotting people, but I'm good at piloting... I usually fly the transport in full speed and pull up quickly as I land.. its awesome fun.

Learned about ejecting last night the hard way while I was playing gunner.. freakin pilot ejected on us and the rest of us went spiraling down - up until that point, I had no idea you could eject.

I keep wanting to throw a grenade.. or somrthing... A single assult trooper is useless against any vehicles, which is a problem when someone's defending a silo with a mech :Paranoid:

I'm loving titan mode, there is so much variety in the map - so many things to do. No choke points like CSS, its great

Might have to try to work out how to up the res though, as someone said, it looks horrible on an lcd at 1024x768.

Also, its it possible to change my ingame nic once I've registered? I need to change it from QuakeDudeAUS to [OCAU] Quakedude, but I can't see any way to do it from the main menu..

ive actually found the command line widescreen resolution look more natural then it did in bf2. The map is still a square its not rectangle, and the gun copes are still circular not strecthed as it was in bf2 (with widescreen resolution).

Hrrrm. Can't really get into this game. I know it's supposed to be futuristic, but the textures are just so bland.
