Meh, its now an outdated game. Combine that with the fact that here in aus we have a miniscule playerbase, and bf4 beta, you'll be struggling to find many decent servers at all.

I don't see how they will become more populated either, as battlefield 4 is looking far superior in virtually every way (and I say that not judging by the 3 month old build that the beta uses) and DICE would really need to screw up big time with something for people to resort to playing bf3 more than bf4.

On a side note, is it just me, or was the tank superiority game mode from armoured kill literally the most underplayed game mode in the history of all AAA titles?

    bf4 performance is terrible!

40-60fps with crossfired beast running 1080... lame.

what the hell will it take to run this game at 120fps ? 8 core haswell-e with 4-way 290X?

Check your CPU usage in game vs GPU usage before running out and buying new cards..
The BF4 beta currently has a CPU bottleneck issue they are working on a fix

I hope I'm not falling foul of any rules here but I do a little cast for the console comp community, and as we're about to finish up for bf3 and head into 4 I thought I might link the latest ep of it here.

Generally they start right before you want to play a round and last until you give up and go do something else. :D

So I wanted to play some singleplayer of BF3. Origin is telling me the game is upto date but battle log says there is an update that needs to be completed.

    Is this a common problem?

It may be talking about the battlelog plugin?

I thought that too but it specifically say game update and the web plugin is 'upto date'

had to share this post i came across re: bf3.. gold lol

BFBC2 is way better because it doesn't require this bull "premium" and 22 and a half expansions 6 months after release, and doesn't have the retarded CoD tendency to get stabbed by people you shot 15 times as they run into you, and it has pretty much the exact same game-play w/o the ridiculous slow jets floating around like inbred butterflys. I can't believe how bad this game is. I guess if you add Ultra-HD textures and lens flair, the kiddies just assume it's a better game. Now I see why it was $15

Yep, incrementally prettier with each release, alas also incrementally crap to actually play.

Agreed, BC2 was awesome, BF3 after maturing (read 6 months worth of patches) also ended up being pretty fun.

BF4 for me, 5 months on, is still as unplayable and unenjoyable as day 1.

But the whole time playing BC2 all I ever heard was comments about how it wasn't a true Battlefield game. But I loved it. It was the correct balance between infantry and vehicles.

really? i've put in 150 hours and love it. played a few bf3 matches while a new bf4 patch was being rolled out a few weeks back and it was no where near as much fun.

you're not alone though.. lots of people hate it

    In what way?

I also agree that BF3/4 lacks something that BC2 had and I cant tell exactly what that is but BC2 was so much fun. Im not a big gamer but to me BF4 is more like BF3 with a map pack than a new game. Yes people were always crapping on about how non battlefield BC2 was but I played many long games there, so many lols too.

I played BC2 a while after BF3 was released and it was great. Each gun seemed to have nice balance.
