Same, used the Hola extension in chrome. But I don't see the point of jumping on Premium. It sends a bad message to EA.

I mean the DLC doesn't look that good to me yet. I mean I have China Rising because of the pre-order. Second strike is upgraded BF3 maps which I might give the flick. Leaving the next time I'm interested in buying DLC around a year from now perhaps, premium could easily be cheaper between now and then or my life could be different and I'm not interested in playing at all..

I thought that I'd grab it now while it was relatively cheap through their Mexico site in case that loophole became closed. Not happy with EAs strategy of premium and DLC, but then don't care enough not to pick it up when I can get it cheap :)

BF4 on its own through Origin Mexico is still pretty cheap though.

    Short discussion of keyb/mouse below:

    use whats best for you.

Best BF3 jet pilot in the world used keyboard only, the euros use sticks and peddle setup. Whatever works.

Yeah I could sit in the scout heli all day :leet:.

Bit of a fan of throwing the odd smoke grenade but disappointed with the X25 smoke, appeared more like an annoying grey tinge then actually impairing vision. Hoping the M320 smoke grenades aren't as shit.

The roof of the gold coast building on the resort map is a haven for sniper knifing. Love it.

    ILoveTurtle5, SidAyrankNDie, MewMika, 8MadDOg8

won like 20 games in a row, awesome teamwork and ace squad for almost every game.

Thanks for the tip, I really only follow those who have youtube channels admittedly and talking to other pilots on servers. But I think the basic points are covered.

I don't really see how anyone with a full HOTAS set up could be competitive with someone on keyboard. I mean I'm obviously heavily invested in the equipment but I'm not going to hook it up to BF, I think the jury is out on this one, HOTAS just isn't going to get you the competitive performance you might expect if you are starting out.

But it raises another point in that pilot skill is different to control skill. So the best controllers in terms of performance probably line up something like

Beginners - analogue (it's a lot more precise, less wild and far more intuitive)
Intermediate - digital (the performance advantages are hard to ignore in a competitive environment)
Experts - could probably still beat anyone using even a trackpad

the best thing to do is just stick with one and get it perfect.

i personally think keyboard only is the best, as all jet maneuvers are hard lock turns anyway

What about gunning down targets other than other jets? Like mowing down infantry running on the ground or helicopters etc...? How can you get 100% accuracy on your guns with digital movement?

use the PM I sent to you.

EDIT: if it's under $40 then it's most likely the Russian version.

Played 2 MP games so far.
    1) ping of ~22-25 but i spiked to 400 once, despite that it was rubber banding and teleporting me all over the place.
    2) second, kicked for high ping of 185

I had network smoothing at 20% but moved it back to 50% didn't really change. Others in the squad didn't have the same problem.

100 mbit internet, 1 server was hosted on my ISP's network (telstra)

I thought these problems would disappear after getting rid of TPG.

Sounds like either a problem with your hardware/drivers or connection. I've never experienced that issue, 100/40mbit NBN here.

I've had the same issues, with Telstra, too. I thought it could be my wireless, but reset the modem and router.

Had a good session in the mature gamers server. Although my kill/death ratio was around 1 to 1, which is okay considering I am still learning the maps.
