It's all about what you want from the game really. I play both modes but prefer normal because you actually get more battles forming, as opposed to HC where it seems like it's a glorified game of Q3 Arena. I play this game to have battles, not to rack up kills, but thats what I'm looking for out of BF games. Neither mode is the right mode, just what you find fun.

    *pours more petrol*

anyway first time ive come across this error

"Game disconnected: Client closed down connection. Check your network connection and make sure that port 3659 (UDP) is open."

could this be what was casuing all those rego issues? probably not knowing EA/DICE

anyone else had any similar errors?

Think I got that one once, if not it was a very similar error.

Personally I was amazed. Truly a step up from "something went wrong."

That one gets me alot, usually when I try and join again after a random d/c. Closing origin and joining a game seems to make it go away

I'm a shit sniper for sure, I don't think I even have 30 kills as sniper yet.

Did this fix it or did you get it again?

Have they re-hosted the eGL servers somewhere with like a single core 100mhz CPU? Rubber banding galore and terrible hit rego :S

Finished off a second edit last night, few good shots some laughs and griefing some dbags who don't know how to battlefield. Also music isn't anywhere near as heavy this round.

Code_Nerd is featured in this for 1/80th of a second. OCAU represent.

Hey, haven't played BF4 in too long, looking to do some games this weekend.
This 'Platoon' thing, is that a clan/guild thing? Where you have clan/guild chat similar to Diablo/wow?

If so that'd be awesome and is there an OCAU one?

    Cheers,
    Dom

C4 and claymore make me laugh so hard. I even enjoy setting up a claymore and seeing a team mate (in HC) run through it after seeing me set it up... dumb arses.

    Firstly no. Secondly yes.

The features are very limited. There's a board to post comments. There's a list of members. Make the members your friends and then you can see which sever they're playing on. We may be getting our own server soon. We use TeamSpeak for comms.

*sigh* playing on the eGL hardcore servers, giving the other team a good spanking and about 800tix up. Lo and behold, server reboot at 30tix. :thumbdn:

Don't relax just yet...I've been getting this error over the past few weeks. Have forwarded the port it mention on both UDP and TCP but still get the error, but it seems intermittent - try join once and I get the error. Try again immediately after and then it works.

Go to the battlelog page and click on Platoons and join, I will add you.

People go fucking nuts over claymores. Even more so on HC of course, because it's almost always your own team that get killed when htey run through one then rage against you.

New Naval Strike maps revealed here

I find that so frustrating. I've been giving claymores a really good run lately and they are awesome. I once watched an emeny go prone and crawl slowly to avoid the claymore wires. I waited until he got to the other side before I shot him :)

They're all sounding very fun, but apart from the plane blowing up, there wasn't really much mention of levelution, was there?

I can live without it, but given they wouldn't shut up about it pre-launch they had better include it in every damn map. Still no word on whether they'll ever reintegrate it to china rising.
