as walker said, you wont regret it. mine is a flat 27" 1440p monitor, not sure i like the ultra wide curved monitors yet, but thats just a preference thing. in saying that i have never owned or used one and dont want too.

if i use a 34" ultra wide curved and like it, im going to want it :D

    FPS is not refresh rate.

    http://www.avadirect.com/blog/frame-rate-fps-vs-hz-refresh-rate/

Clearly G-Sync and Freesync are technologies that can improve your gaming experience in certain situations not ALL the time.

While I'm sure they are very nice quality monitors, if you currently do not actually HAVE any tearing/stuttering issues, then my stance that those monitors are not going to do a thing for you and are just wasted money stands.

Stating that everyone has these issues is patently untrue as well, though in reality these technologies sort of introduce them, as I notice they almost always on 1440 or above resolution monitors. It's a bit like the chicken or the egg really, as if you want those high res monitors, then yes you should buy the ones that have the technology designed to run that resolution more smoothly.

For myself, I happily game on 1080, with zero problems, and as I'm opposed to spending money for money's sake, I have no need for one.

Get battlefield 1, run @ 1440p 144hz ultra.. you will have stutter no if's or buts, unless you can hold 144fps 100% of time (which you wont).

You need to see it in action on 144hz PC where FPS go under refresh rate (especially if under 100fps) until then do not dismiss it as a waste of $. If you are on 60hz 1080/1440p probably not needed no.. but 60hz blows :p

Anyone able to help me with a BF4 crashing problem.. game runs fine for some time then game crashes with "Battlefield 4 has stopped working" message.

Have looked on line for tips on how to stop it but none of them seem to work.

Using Windows 10 64 bit if that helps??

I assume you have tried it with SLI turned off?

Have you tried running both the x86 and x64 executable? I always had to use the 64bit version.

There is a ton of things you could try, like updating or rolling back drivers, updating punkbuster etc. Has it ever worked with your current setup?

And because you have Win10 have you tried both DX11 and DX12?

Video drivers updated recently? If so, roll them back. If not...try updating :)
Latest AMD drivers cause my games to crash and lock up. Had to roll back to previous version.

    Anyone still play this :p

Been trying to, 4 server crashes in 90 minutes. Affecting Telstra/Optus. Servers from Australia and America.

Guess the back-end is having issues.

Here's hoping BF6 is modern setting again. I miss it. I think BF4 with BFV's lack of health Regen and 3d spotting would be lovely.

Been getting back into some BF4 the last few weeks. Found a great custom server that has 60% health, no 3D spotting. The TTK is great. I also grabbed COD Warzone since it is free, my machine isn't quite up to spec to play it well (3rd Gen i5 and GTX660ti) and whilst good, man it feels like enemies are bullet sponges. You can empty an entire mag before they finally take their last breath. Even Normal BF4 TTK isn't that bad.

When the new battlefield run like BF4, I’ll play them more.
I still play BF4 mostly. The Custom server or BFS I think it is, is still my go to’s. Good rotations/vote system too

I haven't seen a BFS server get populated in a few months now.

A few custom servers going around, and one or two proper HC servers seem to be starting up.
