The issue with firestorm was a bit the same as blackout. Released after a while when player numbers are lacking. Need huge numbers and only way to do it well long term is FTP. Pubg was the exception for a while but now it's hard to even get an AU server.

Yes it's cashing in on a trend but it's clearly what people want. Smart business really.

So long as the actual battlefield 6 game modes aren't neglected.

Modern warfare is doing just fine with warzone off to the side. They are cleverly linked with season pass and ability to grind on modern warfare for warzone classes.

I don't know that it is smart business, walker.
Look at CS:GO, which is still the most popular FPS game. They tried battle royale, which didn't even take off. But the core game is going strong.

    What hardware?
On my laptop (Optimus), with the latest drivers, it no longer recognises BF4 as a game and I need to manually kick everything over to the 2060 for it to run properly.

    A horrible attempt though, laughable.

Ive often heard people say things along the lines of 'imagine PUBG in frostbite'

Id be keen as, but wont complain if its not included but will be shocked. (this is under the assumption BF6 is in a modern setting)

i had to set bf4 to performance in windows graphics settings (after stuffing around with nvidia control panel). (last i played it it was on win7) and also i have to play in windowed mode or some setting has the fps capped at 30fps. all good now. surprisingly easy to run graphically....but it's an old game now.

maxvariablefps didnt help. now set at zero.
around 100+/- fps on medium settings.

Unfortunately, at this point, it looks like the community is bent on killing the game.

A mix of bad admins, small player base, and general hostility towards any group which does well and plays as a team, is leading to more and more nights with empty servers.

Really hoping BF6 turns out to be worth playing.

Made slightly more disappointing by the fact that the platoon I'm in has invested time into seeding other platoon servers, checking out suspect players as much as possible, only to be treated like outcasts because we play as a team.

CoD doesnt have those issues (apart from toxicity) as you cant rent/host own servers. Player numbers arent an issue either.

Im still playing fairly often, the Oceania 365 'custom HC' server, mixed mode/map. Seems fairly dominated by DOM mode but its a good server overall. Cant stand the FPSG servers, or most normal mode really.

Ive seen a couple of you out there still rocking the OCAU tags, as I have always done. Pls hit me up so we can squad together!

Unfortunately, it's a dying game with an ever more fractured community.

Still enough players to get some proper battlefield experience though.

    Scrub montage below.
I don't care about subs. I just spent 8 hrs making this thing, so hope y'all enjoy it.

Been about 5 years since I played BF4 (or any FPS for that matter). I have clocked up several thousand hours in Factorio in that time though
