Battlefield Bad Company 2

Not sure if anyone is keen, but a friend of mine just started hosting a BFBC2 instance in Australia (a bit of consolation for anyone down about the 2042 release, or the state of EA/DICE in general.

For some, this is a nostalgic blast from the past. For others like me, the first time playing.

If you're keen, you can find us in the server named "Battlefield 2043".

 

Is the game still populated? I just installed it again but can't log into my account but if there's a few still playing I'll buy a new key.

 

It's not hugely populated, so I wouldn't go spending too much if I were you...

 

Nah it's 5 bucks on G2A, I've clocked over 1000 hours in the game so I figure I can spend a bit more on it....cheap entertainment.

 

keys are $5, might get one myself since I got a refund on 2042

just jumped on then, cant change your FOV everything is in your face

 

edit your settings.ini to set your FOV - only works for MP though

 

I must have already had a key doh, $5 down the drain, as I'm rank 31.

But looks like I may be missing some punkbuster stuff?

I guess that depends what time you've been on. We've played every night except last night - but the West Aussies tend to get on late...

if only 1942 or vietnam was resurrected or better yet/ remastered by EA

 

I've been thinking about installing 42 just to bask in the awesomeness one last time. I doubt there's any aussie servers though.
