The campaign is a bit if a turd, not of fan of the war stories. $30 isn't too bad though. Can pay that going to the movies once or twice

Not sure if you have bought it yet but its part of origin access basic now for like $7 a month. Depending on the longevity you get out of it could be the better option.

I wanna get this but I dunno, afraid of being let down.
I've played every BF up until BF1. Still getting value out of BF4, though the player is not as big, there's still a few on.

i've played about 6 rounds and really liked it, so i say give it a go.
Hit reg seems good, combat pacing is the right balance.

    outpost is really fun

WAB for sure especially at price, had rough launch but holding plenty of attention, the BR is dead in AU though. Plenty on conquest etc. Poops on BF1

yea, it is a great mode, shame that these mode only stick around for a few weeks then go away.

Run a ram benchmark. I found my ram was running a 3rd of the write speed it's capable of due to "relax oc" timings in bios.

yea once i dropped the OC on my memory it seemed to help, then the recent windows update helped a bit more,

I recently upgraded memory to Bdie flare x and now it is running perfect,

If it's not too much hassle, I'd be curious to see back-to-back mem benchmarks with your new and old ram (at the same settings)

na I did not do any benchmarks, but it added about 5FPS average in BF5, (2400 CL16 FlareX to 3200 CL14 FlareX)

    Fair enough.

IIRC my write speeds changing from "relaxed OC" timings to "enhanced perf" went from ~5000 to ~18000 (on whatever scale is appropriate for ram ?GB/s?)

apparently latest patch has created more bugs then it fixed and apparently some claimed fixes aren't fixed.

Even the popular youtube content creators paid by EA have had enough and have videos up about their disappointment (Westie, JackFrags etc)
