higher TTK disincentivises camping, which is a good thing. TBH I didn't notice the changes.
When you say franchise do you mean BF or FPS games in general?
Battlefield as a franchise.
Think I hate about the change is mid-long range, it sucks hitting a guy 5-6 times. Used to kill.
Apart from that don't care.
Many other things I'd rather they change before fiddling with TTK agan.
most annoying sniper hacker tonight.. so I checked his stats page.. K/D 0.75 with rank 12.. so he got sick of sucking and bought/got a hack was insta-headshotting entire match the second you pop out. Heaps of server raging @ him. Guess he got sick of game and thought would hack till banned and move on.
K/D has climbed very quickly to 1.8.. I bet if we check in a couple days will be massive if not already banned.
We did really well to hold on so long, without him we woulda won easy.
Yikes, imagine hacking and still not having that great a ratio.
Also as an FYI for people if they're still doing their Tides of War, the Look Up last stage this week is bugged - you have to be the squad leader for kills to count.
Played a few games earlier with a guy named "IcarryteamNP" or similar with a 42/8 K/D ratio. One guy on the other side was losing his shit in the chat, accusing the whole team of hacking.
On the recent patch & TTK / TTD changes - as an abysmally unskilled player I now find the game slightly less rage-quit inducing. I still randomly die within seconds of seeing someone without even getting my iron sights up, however I occasionally get into a skirmish that lasts more than half a second (I presume we are both equally useless).
Overall BFV isn't the Battlefield I want to play, it's just DoD with the occasional vehicle. The class selection doesn't seem to compliment the squad, medic feels utterly useless rather than crucial. Also where are the anit-vehicle mines to protect a flag from approaching vehicles, are they an unlock or just not available? I'm waiting for BF4 to finish dloading as Walker mentioned it still had active servers, hopefully it has more of an epic Battlefield feel to it.
I'm not enjoying this flavor of Battlefield. Might be going back to Killing Floor 2 and hunting zombies instead. Support and medic feels utterly useless.
Run the KE7 or FG42 and its not useless at all. Medic, well yeah. Has a couple of semi-reasonable guns but needs more variety.
pbcak error - support has them, no unlock required.
Which guns are worthwhile for the medic? The sten is frustrating!
His ratios each round now are 7.0+ but prior to resorting to hacking was 0.75
His overall ratio has now climbed to 2.17
If he hacked from get go would have K/D overall over 8.
If anything support needs a nerf.. so much ammo, so deadly.. KE7 if running about or any MMG proned anywhere is deadly as.
He's only got a KDR just above 5 in that screenshot.
if you get killed then revived does that death contribute to you K/D ratio? or only if you bleed out completely?
Only if you bleed out, same as every Battlefield title.
I play quite a bit of medic and find the suomi? is great! you have to grind up the specializations but one you have the extended mag and hip fire control its a machine! can easy hip fire a group of 3 upclose, apparently the thompson is much the same but still havent got it yet.
Yup but some other of his matches are much higher, if he keeps it up itl climb pretty high.
Nice head-shot stats for that round I played with him
I also noticed that assists that count as kills dont go towards official KDR. In match I got 59/33 but in stats page 56/33.
Have DICE/EA said they are going to be proactive this time round? Since we all know what little they did in the past.
Just trolling now?
They are quite reactive at least. Better then some devs who just leave it as a pile of shit for months then fix it.
Yep...thought that's what you meant....
What shits me about DICE at the moment is the public division and their willingness to say "that wasn't my decision" about the TTK.
You're part of a team. You agreed to partner with EA as a company, you made that bed. You are part of a team that collectively selected almost exclusively automatic weapons, recoil spread, specialisations, map sizes and average encounter range.
You're part of the same team that failed to properly playtest your game and recognise glaring TTD netcode issues.
You are/were part of the problem if you were involved in any of the decisions related to gunplay, regardless of what you tweet.
