its worse how they think a higher TTK is more noob friendly. Hardcore or lower TTK is actually more noob friendly (especially 'hardcore' as they automatically feel better by playing it) and people die easier with less recoil control.

Hardcore BF3/4 was terrible. Especially with 1 hit kill snipers, was such a noob fest too.

Unlocked the 4th Recon gun. Some semi-auto thing with a 5 bullet mag. It goes ok. Hits hard enough. Wish it had a 10 clip mag.

    Better than the model 8.

Isn't he saying that BFV is the first to have differing TTK values in the same game (as opposed to a HC mode which gives you lower health etc)?

What differing TTK values? They have normal, and hardcore. Like many games?

And you reckon I care about stats. ;)

TTK is obviously relevant to health pools. Hardcore differed with spotting as well of course but its essentially the same thing - two 'difficulty' modes.

Not trolling just asking a question because they did next to nothing with the other releases.

So you agree that he was correct in saying it's the first to have differing raw values as opposed to a HC mode?

If you can explain to me how less health or more damage is any different from a clients standpoint (other than the current BF5 iterations having far less impact) I'm all ears. My gripe is that he goes on about (paraphrasing here, at work) "Name one other Triple A title that has two different TTK values" - he's pretty much explaining hardcore which we've had since BC2.

What difference does it make how they implement the Hardcore experience?

Change TTK, lower HP, remove HUD, decrease ammo, decrease Regen. Literally doesn't matter how they are altered, Normal mode is normal, hardcore mode is harder.

What am I missing? Is it nitpicking language used in the video?

    Am Noob, can not confirm.

Higher TTK, where it also leads to a higher TTD, is better.

Instead of Going 4-20, I get to go 4-15, because the stupid decisions I make, are punished less.

Single frame deaths, and dead behind cover are my biggest bugbears.

    Yeah, That I'm OK with.

Its when I do run for cover, and am taking fire... make it behind cover, and then die, due to shots that landed while I was still running for cover, that weren't registered until I was behind cover.

Simultaneous kills were one of my biggest hates in BF4, caused by the same issue. The number of Simultaneous kills has gone down in BF1, and BFV, but the issue is still there.

The worst issue is super bullets as you don't get a chance to return fire, especially if from behind just instadie as multiple shots delivered in 1 packet. If you die behind cover it's likely they did shoot you and server just taking longer to apply it on your client.

Super bullets happens to me rarely but some people claim it's pretty frequent.

The issue is they happen at varying amounts through matches - the instant deaths are few and far between but TTD is still noticably lower than TTK with a bigger discrepancy than ~50ms.

This makes dying behind cover feel even worse because you often don't get a chance to react in time, because when you do and get behind cover, you can die up to what feels like 500-1200ms later.

I actually feel like the TTK change has fixed a lot of those issues, almost like it's the engine struggling with x number of hits per second.

Edit: I'd pay money to avoid Devastation. Absolute dogshit map.

Hahah, it's my favourite map by far.

Want to see a dedicated 24-7 server for this map.

    Wasn't 128 player metro everyone's favorite 24/7 map?
