The exact reason i don't buy jerky anymore.

I ordered 2kg of Biltong from D-JAys and i finished it in the same week i bought it. @ $50kg it isn't cheap.

Is the DJays stuff decent? They look arlight, but I wanted to make sure.. going to go halves in a couple of kilos with a mate if it's good. (thinking 1kg chili jerky, 1kg pepper biltong.)

there is such a difference in jerky. What is that plastic crap that Knobbys and Jack Links sell? no shit, it's almost put me off jerky forever. Taste worse than I think dog's ass would taste like.

Does anyone know the brand they sell it alot at pubs, comes in a yellow pack with a maroon picture of Australia I think or a Kangaroo or something, and it's proper rough like-dried-meat jerky, not that processed crap. Thats nice.

Hmmm Trying to think what else had a yellow Packet...

hmm. It could be Road Kill? When I had some of that up in Central QLD it was yellow and had a clear area to view the substances within.

Not that I'm a Jerky connoisseur or anything.. but darn there Jerky is nice.. chilli has a nice "bite" without being stupid... original is good, soy is actually really nice..

They have some incredible deals at the moment to move old stock.. ie 3Kg for $90...!!!

Damn, I wish the g/f liked jerky... she hates the stuff. It particularly sucks as we go hiking all the time and it's the perfect lightweight, long lasting food - she just doesn't enjoy chewing on dried out animal. I used to get what I guess you'd call Squid Jerky in japan and loved it! She's seen me eat it once and was a wee bit freaked out by the whole thing!
