Found this awesome little game (still in Beta) on steam for < $10
Having tons of fun with it already, and some of the siege engines the community are making are mindblowing.

    It has:
    Physics.
    Gore.
    Explosions.
    Cannons.
    Spikes.
    Flamethrowers.
    and Sheep.

Link to an instructional you-tube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRyVTGCH_08

    Anyone else playing this?

I bought it and played through it a few days ago.

A good bit of fun, but I got rather annoyed with the building system about 2/3 the way through. Getting it just right was not possible.

Then I spent a while playing in the sandbox, and while fun, getting one to fly just did not happen for me.

I will probably not play it again until it's full release.

Anyone that browses imgur will be very aware of this.

It's a very well built game from the couple of hours I've put in

Having great fun with this! Steep learning curve with the more complex components, though.

This is a kind of forklift, with three grabbers at the front. They are raised and lowered by pistons:

Reached the last level. It is tough. This is going to take a while.

For the most part I'm a reasonably creative guy... but I think this is one of those games, where I'd much rather look at other peoples creations, than make my own.

If you put a drive wheel on another drive wheel, it doubles the speed of the second one.

Side by side catapaults, cannons and flamers.

A different dual catapult. Good for the tall towers.

My bomber, about to unload the bombs.

    Wow, awesome work Spork! :)

How did you get the bomber to fly fowards? I've given up on aircraft for the moment because although I can get them off the ground I can't move them through the air reliably.

    Thanks mate.
The bomber tends to want to tilt forwards anyway, not sure why as it is symmetrical.
I couldn't make it any longer, so if you look carefully there is a "flying block" facing forward on the second crossmemebr from the front, and another (for reverse) on the second from the back.
Gave up trying to steer it. Just line up the target, take off, drop bombs. :D

Given this a few hours play so far, tis awesome. Lost count the amount of times i've been tempted to read tips on how to build certain things, but it is so rewarding once you actually figure it out for yourself. It may be different to the normal ways but there is a chance its unique to you! love that.

Just discovered how to properly use springs to make a tri catapult, many laughs were had trying to find weak spots in slow motion to see which bits fail first on high tension of the springs.

The little design things they have nailed just make this game, explosions and general feel of the physics is great. I think my only annoyance so far is the flying physics, while you can get around with some weird heli contraptions the actual plane style physics of flying seem to be missing. EG thrust, im sure there is tweaking to be done.

I am really hoping they can pull off some sort of multiplayer support at some point. Imagine rounds of 1v1, random environment and your each given 5mins to build your machine. Then best of 3 fights to see who wins. Or even have assault style MP where one person builds a base structure to see if it can hold out against the attacker.

Yeah I decided to pick this up thanks to Imgur and /v/ pics/videos... Having a ball although I design total crap.

Have a look at http://www.besiegedownloads.com/ to get some good ideas, or share your own... I want to try some of your ones Sankari :D
