I went there and really did not like it. The place was unbelievably smokey, felt a bit like a night club. And the food wasn't served at your table on the big skewer/swords you expect of a brazillian bbq. The food was put on a platter and you were given 1 piece....only. I don't really like beef or pork and tend to eat more chicken, but the guy said I already had one serve of chicken before and basically walked off without serving me. Even though we paid half price for it, we would not be going back. :thumbdn:

    not for $20

You'll never find a good all you can eat for $20-$30.

I would much rather spend $15 - $20 on 1 good plate of food.

For me its not quantity, it's quality.

Maybe a bit far to go for a feed.
But i'd rate that as the best ive been to, and i've eaten my fair share of buffets!

    Recently ate from Sushi Choo,

    Service was very good.
Food was somewhat good, wish there was more of a choice but. Some of the stuff is quite dry.
Place looks very nice, although it can be a bit hard to find.

    Pretty decent IMO =)

i don't know if its still there but the last all you can eat buffet i went to was at Star City Casino. It was abosultely amazing. Had everything from Indian, Chinese, Italian. You even had the option to make your own Kebab / Yiros.
The all you can eat seafood seemed to be a winner with most patrons as plenty of tables had mounds of emtpy prawn shells.

The Hilton I think, or some other big hotel - it overlooked Hyde Park, had all you can eat oysters. Raw, and kilpatrick. Twas many years ago I went, and it had quite a hefty pricetag (~$80 PP IIRC)

That's ridiculous. There's a couple of other Brazillian BBQ places in Darlinghurst & Coogee-all with the all you can eat off the skewers at your table for $35. None of that 1 piece only garbage either.

the churrasco experiences i have had at coogee and leichhardt are some of the best all you can eat i have ever been too! my mate and i always sit there for quite a few hrs and wine and dine, once we are full we wait and then continue on again later in the evening. awesome experience.

Thats why we were annoyed. The best thing about brazillian bbq is that they bring the meat over on the giant swords and its all you can eat. And they're more than happy to give you a larger or more pieces if you want.

Reading their response on Eatability, and also witnessing it myself, they have a guy there with a sheet of paper marking what meat each table has had. They say its to make sure you get a piece of everything, but from a customer point of view, it looked like they were making sure you don't get more than 1. At the end, we had to ask specifically for another piece of what we wanted, because they didn't come back offering us round 2. Basically skipped our table because we had 1 piece already. :thumbdn:

Either of the Brazilian BBQ's in Leichhardt are good. Definitely an all night experience and not something you want to do too often as we were stuffed afterwards.

That is awesome, my friend absolutely loves oysters and has been hassling me to find a place with all you can eat.

I also enjoy oysters both raw and kilpatrick!

Gonna check it out some time soon.

Regarding Nicks at Bondi Beach, that place is alright, but mussels are definitely not the same as oysters.

I used to love the KFC all you could eats, but sadly they're no more :<

A lot of the buffet style all you can eats I find so dodgy.. It's like "OH SWEET POTATO BAKE"... "Oh, only itd be good if the potatos were actually cooked..."
