Stopped in at Burger Foundry down on HB road over the weekend, had their chilli burger, texan or whatever it's called. Fuck, what a mess. Never seen so much liquid pouring out of a burger, think most of it was from the salsa. Nice patty but rest was bland (and saturated). Chips were sub par, didnt feel like a $20 meal
I refer you to our conversation on this almost a year ago. Agreed, they're at least the 1/4 lb Angus patties, but still by far the weakest link in the whole endeavour.
My wife and I dropped in to Miss Perez in Stirling on Sunday and grabbed a couple of cheeseburger. "mmmm that is a tasty burger"
Nord experimenting and changing things - buns, fries Going to email them; they were awesome already, don't tinker!
Nordburger apparently rates up there, in Adelaide. "Australia’s best burger spots named" http://www.news.com.au/travel/austr...rger-spots-named/story-e6frfq89-1227426892132
Had the lunch special yesterday at the Austral.....burger, chips, and a pint of ale or cider. Ok deal for $20. These days though....burgers seem to be shrinking in girth and rising in height Anyone else noticed this? Burgers used to be wide and flatter......now we have this gourmet two feet tall crap that you can't even get your mouth around. Having said that the Austral burger wasn't too bad taste wise....they have some sort of nice BBQ sauce that goes in them
Guttentag adelaidians - I am in Modbury for a week and victor harbor for a few days - any recommendations for a nice burger for this here Melbournian?
Had a bunch of burgers at Chuck Wagon in Norwood yesterday. All our patties were dry, buffalo wings weren't that tasty, chilli chips were good. Best burger if the night was the vegetarian option. Wait staff was about as useful as a spare dick in an orgy, had to go raid another table for cutlery after asking 3 times for it. Probably would rate it behind Nord and Grilld in Norwood.
Okay, so in Victor Harbor today, we stopped for a spot of lunch. We found a place called Baveria Cafe - expecting to have a focaccia or something vanilla, but upon opening the menu there was a page full of burgers so I had the.. Bev Burger! Coleslaw, beef patty, white sausage, pickles + dill. Patty was nice - very thin, but wouldn't want it any thicker - the burger was massive. Chips were nice and crispy. Complaints would be that the pickle was over powering. No toilet for customers. And it was an "order and pay at the counter" - which annoys me, because during a meal the drink situation is bound to change - I ended up having to order and pay for drinks 2 times during the meal.
I went to Burger Foundry on Magill Road a couple of weeks ago and was very, very disappointed. I used to like them, too, but this was just nasty
I just went to Burger Foundry on Henley Beach Road and i must say it was excellent, would definitely go there again. Now for 127 Days Urban Eats.
Tried a new place yesterday.....just a beef burger down at West Beach surf Life Saving Club. Not too bad for a tiny down market place They also do sliders.
I tried fancy burgers down in Adelaide's east end yesterday....has the cheese and bacon burger.....average at best. I could recommend them.
