Tuck shop was fantastic when I went.

I don't care much for huxtaburger at all - that place is way overrated.

Went to Fat Bob's last night after a friend raved about the place. Not as good as people claimed. For starters, the patty was WELL over cooked so the burger was very dry (had the hummer) The fries were pretty bad. Probably the best thing I had there was the popcorn chicken and the milkshake

Tried Rocket Burger & Fries for lunch today. http://www.urbanspoon.com/rph/71/1878932/melbourne-rocket-burger-fries-restaurant-photos

It replaces Lord of the Fries on the corner of Flinders and Elizabeth St. For $10 I thought the Man burger was decent value. The burger on its own was very filling with the double meat patties.

The Fries were nice and crispy though I think had maybe a tad bit of that saturated over used oil taste, though nothing too offensive. The onion rings were nice and crispy and good amount of onion, though at the same time not anything overly amazing.

    7.5/10 :p

Just got home from Fat Bob's - love the burgers...

    2x Jackie O
    1x kids burger
    2x beers
    1x lemon lime bitters

    ~$70

A very expensive meal for what it is!

Still quantity over quality? My burger was unseasoned.

Best burger I've had in Melbourne was at Jimbo and Rex in the Crown. The burger is named after the place and is accompanied by thick cut 'bad boy' chips - these were freaking amazing, also has like a slaw on the side. Don't get to Victoria often but when we do and we go to the crown I eat this, I won't settle for anything else there.

I never doubted you, but those prices are insane.

Chips are also on top of those prices.

had dudefoodman again, dude burger was pretty good, the wife had a fried chicken burger which was a greasy mess even by my standards.

the salt and caramel milkshake (yes, they put salt and caramel in it) was way too salty, but I wouldn't have ordered it in the first place.

    chips were great again.

I had the chilli burger at Wonky Trolley North Melbourne yesterday. It was good, only complaint is a few chewy bits of fat. I also had Babu Burger North Melbourne last week, it was more greasy and I wasn't a fan of it or the spice/flavour in the beef.

We went to Dakdak's today (around the corner from Fat Bob's) and had the Pulled Pork and 'slaw burger. It was probably the best pulled pork I have had in Melbourne to date - it was drowned in a beautiful gravy, and the slaw gave it the perfect tang.

Unfortunately the chips were just quartered potatoes that were oven baked and deep fried - some were cooked better than others, I would have preferred a conventional chip.

And service was a bit slow, but it could have just been that it is Christmas eve and everyone is on holidays
