I believe my security has been breached based on my current IP address and I want to change to an anonymous IP address so this does not happen again.

Could someone please recommend me a good free proxy server that is secure?

    Thanks :)

I believe your machine will have been breached by something other than "just your ip".

Ask your ISP for a new IP if you think it will help

Installing AV and Anti-spy/malware software will probably help more. Selective and more intelligent browsing will help even more again.

Yeah but I can do that by turning off my Modem for a couple of minutes. I need one that has a completely changed number not just the last 5 digits.

I turned off my modem and the last 5 digits changed yet the security problem stil occurred and the "company" i was dealing with still could find me.

Can you elaborate on what the "security problem" is? If you've been found at a different IP once it's quite likely that regardless of your IP you'll be found again.

You cant unless your ISP lets you. Unless you change ISPs, in which case you might get on a new block of IPs

we are trying to tell you that it wont make a difference.

    look internally, not externally.

How long is a piece of string?
I appreciate that you're in unfamiliar territory but you're not likely to get any useful input if you don't answer peoples questions. At best a proxy might (depending on it's configuration) obfuscate your IP address from some services - it's quite likely not going to solve a "security problem".
It means something on your network/machine could be the cause of the exposure.

Given your hesitance to explain the situation my bet is you are trolling, stalking or breaking copyright laws.

Nothing as sinister as any of that :). I have been suspended from a chat forum that's all. I got a bit carried away in posting and now I can't re-sign.

You've been banned from another site, so you come here to ask for help because your "security has been breached"? Give us a break.
