I've been asked as a favour to download some free/legit games and bring up to some colleagues as they have a virtually unusable internet connection. Must have a reasonable single player mode. Multiplayer not likely to be used. Must be a standalone installer - trying to mess around with steam is not going to end well. I've been out of the gaming circles for a long time now so need some recommendations. Game and download link would be great. Legit links only though please - too easy to pickup malware from generic upload sites.
What kind of hardware? What genre of games? I'd recommend witcher 1 & 2. No need for activation and there are no multiplayer component and you can buy them from EB games for relatively cheap.
I think he meant no cost free games. Only free games are pirated games and i don't really support pirated games.
Just drag them down to EB games, I mean really it's not that hard? If you want newer stuff get them to buy some games off GoG and download the installer and install from that. Most free games are shite.
Or just older.. Check out the free games thread, pretty sure there's links etc in there for games that are now free.. Red alert etc..
If there computers are half decent they could try STALKER: Lost Alpha http://www.moddb.com/mods/lost-alpha Its a full game (quite big too), it's free and does not require any of the other games installed to play.
