Hi Ocau got a Silverstone gd09 that will be eventually rack mounted in a server rack with no side panels.

setup the case as in picture (will replace the exhaust fan down the line though not sure what fan to go with happy for suggestions)

ive got 2 80mm fans and the case has 2 80mm fan spots as seen.

    i currently have 2x s12b 1200rpm (might upgrade)

and the case exhaust fan all controlled via pwm or dc from headers.

should i add the 80mm fans? if so should i exhaust or intake (since they will likely clash with the 120mm inputs)

should i use the noctua u9s fan as a exhaust as shown or a intake?

    thanks for the help

Those side fans are filtered so I would change the 120mm fans all to intake not exhaust.
Forget about the 80mm, unless you want noise.

CPU fan is ok as is.

Exhaust air will naturally flow out non filtered holes (positive pressure).

I've built a few GD09s and this works great for no dust and minimal noise.

mounting with no panels will change everything and is not ideal.

general rule is more in than out for maximum cooling. filter the intakes to reduce dust.

If you already have two intake fans then I would use these two fans as exhaust fans.
