BH5 advice

    Are all BH5 ram the same? does it really make THAT much differance which PCB theyre using? Which ones do you guys reckon are particularly good value for money? I was lookin at the Team Xtreem ones

    mostly no. they're usually all brainpower pcbs anyway since they're cheaper to make and better. the team xtreem ones are meant to be good, and my ocz value vx goes well, probably needs more volts to fly but i'm not to bothered about memory speed

    if you're talking about UTT then they're basically the same depending on how they're speed binned. a bp pcb will probably be a few mhz better than a reference pcb

    The OCZ value VX ones are more expensive than the Team Xtreme ones.. is there a reason or is it just the brand?

    yeah just the brand
    though skycomp.com.au have the ocz cheaper by $6

    are all winbonds and UTTs BH5s?

    no
    they are either winbond BH UTT or CH UTT
    there is no original BH5 for a few years now
    BH is similar but don't overclock well on axp and intel machines
    plus they might not handle high voltages for long periods but thats still to be determined

    what mobo is it going on? there are a couple of reviews at xtreme systems about the team memory.

    Its meant to be going on the Asrock 939 DUAL-SATAII. I'm gonna volt mod it/chuck a DDR booster on it, so it'll get a minimum of 3.09V to vdimm.
