    jeuss! well done thats absolutely fantastic for not only the reason of the photo but getting a bee within a couple of meters of u hope ur not allergic like me! :D

    You miss a lot, before you get one like the in flight shot. I usually wait for the bees to go to one or two flowers where I can angle the composition well. Otherwise you can be all over the place

    The others shots take a little patience and a reasonable swarm of bees on a plant with lots of flowers.

    Oh, no bee allergies here. Never been stung either.

    Like many of the non-photographers, I was drawn to this image & found that I stared at the detail looking for more.

    Macro the way its supposed to bee :D

    Do you mind if I ask what lens you are using ?

    Im a bit of a macro enthusiast.. but also only started taking macro pictures in May last year so I guess im a bit of a noob :)
