Ive never built a mini PC and thought it would be handy to have one around the house.

Some thing portable and go from room to room and workshop if needed.

The first build of the housing used a 120 mm front fan...but decided to go larger to a 140 just to make it look more outrageous.

The layout will be simple almost the standard now for these SFF Builds. Except for the 140 front intake.

To keep the front clean with no holes or screws i'm using a sliding bracket system for the front fan.

This also keeps the case a bit more modular for fan/AIO installs.

For the "guts" im still not 100% but for some older hardware will do for now.

The layout is in 2 chambers, MB/ PSU on one side and GPU/ RES / SSD's on the other.

The the GPU side a simple slider mech was made to hold the card in place a riser cable will be added with a secondary mount mech.

Still not sure if i will do a modded AIO system with res or just go with a off the shelf. Either way there is plenty of room.

The PSU can be flipped to either help with exhaust of drag clean air through the sides... i may go with

full mesh side panels for this one.

    Anyways mtc soon.

Cheers mate tyvm  So am i :) just making this up as i go... pretty much as normal :D

    A quicky update,

Ive re-trimmed the outer blades to suit the new design

The modified blades are hard glued to the housing

The last outer 2 blades are also hard glued the outer edges.

Gluing them to the outer edges for a flush fit gives a cleaner look

Adding the larger 140 mm fan has a better over all look and fill up the front of the case.

Could you do a Flex ATX mount under the GPU to allow additional clearance over the Motherboard?

SFX PSU's get hot so I feel like that placement could affect the temperatures on the board.

Still, love the case with your signature blade style!

Cheers as always Tazor tyvm mate :) On the top mount bracket for the GPU i added extra threaded screw holes. It was done to cover if i add a different GPU down the track and to be able to offset the card incase of thickness differences.

But it does allow me to step the card out maybe another 10mm before bumping the side panel. The bottom lock allows the card to freely slide and the riser cable would just hang free.

I'm still not sure how i will handle the side panels this time around. I thought about large full mesh inserts... but if temps allow i would really like to go flashy , maybe tinted inserts with a theme.

Love it. Want one with slight modifications! Will keep an eye out for the finished products. Always wanted to commission a Defyant-built case since the Turbine HP's... :)

Cheers as always sammy :D be my pleasure mate

I did get a small update done today !

Just trying different things for the side panel.

This time ive made a proper type side panel from 6mm and done double routed inner and outer edges, this should give some "depth" to the sides rather than just a flat panel.

For now i'm testing out some slight tinted windows. I may go clear or poss orange. But i think the contrast of the white on tint is a modern look.

I'm thinking a hook lock and single rear screw system this time round to hold them in place.

The sides were a bit of work with all the extra shape.

The tinted is cut to the exact same size as the opening this will make it a large press fit key.

Next is the glue the window to the side panel.

And give it a test fit.

I was a little bit worried that the window would be a little bit too light.....

So i chucked in some hardware and can safely say that the tint is more then dark enough

    Gettin there slowly :)

A big thanks to Dougie for helping me out with a TT riser cable bud your a legend :thumbup:

Ive gone with the older style corsair hydro AIO as it still uses one of the lowest profile block pump combo.

As this is a 120mm cooler and im using a 140 fan in the front ive made a 6mm clear adaptor and to take up some hose ive mounted the rad east west.

I may upgrade this later to a 140 AIO when i upgrade the hardware .

To help hold the GPU secure ive added some standoffs, this will also keep the back of the card off Dougie's
    donated TT riser cable :)

For the riser cable ive also added some standoffs.

These will connect to a L bracket that will hold the connector in place.

The bracket is tapped and secured to the base

And for now the bracket doubles as a SSD mount as well.

Some cable tie tidy up work

Add in the Corsair RGB crap

And finally fire it up and load some windows.

Still got a ways to go.... need to come up with a new system to lock the side panels on and add maybe a
usb port and gotta add a power button.

I like it very much, mate.Love the ribs.
I like the Corsair RGB bling. Makes it come alive.
So much in such a small space. Clever.
I would hide a small start button between the ribs underneath.
Don't want to spoil the lines.

    Cheers Dougie ty mate

I got a bit of motivation this weekend :D Added a small rear exhaust fan to help move some air... altho really not needed.... but every bit helps !

And went with Dougie's suggestion and added the power button between the ribs.. but at the rear the rear of the case... i decided i did not want to spoil the front at all.
So far ive made 3 different sides.... but have decided to just go with clear full side.

Also decided that i didnt want the fan adaptor plate to be clear and gave it a few coats of matt black
