    New Canon 135mm F2.0

Few test shots.. not the greatest subjects and I'm still learning the DoF but FAR out the sharpness is just mind blowing. The AF is super super quick!

    I LOVE this lense

I'll get out over the weekend to take a few more.. here are some test shots. ISO 400+ (most 640), Canon 5D no post processing. No sharpening. I'm using a shit LG L1710 LCD that is TERRIBLE with color so I cant actually tell if the contrast is any good :( New monitor next..

    Done that, same error :)

Seriously, I understand how it all works. I can see the laptop photo in the directory and I saw the Cat.jpg photo after much stuffing around.

Put them on ugbox.net if you are having server issues.

Excellent sharpness and DOF, ISO 100 is going to be oh so nice....... you got to be happy with that

Should of had a little more distance between subject and backgroung.

Am over the moon! I can't wait to shoot with it. Going to the Touch footy tomorrow @ Queens , I'll try and get some fast paced shots of the players... should be a good test for the AF and also the Dof should create some good shots

Doesn't look that special? There are sharper lenses around... If there is a difference, it's reallllly minute. I'm sure the 70-200 f/2.8 is just as sharp and a lot more versatile.

    Enjoy your lens though!

70-200 F2.8 IS @ 1.5kg isn't a walk about lense for me. The 135 will get into the streets of Bangkok and my travels through Europe nicely to catch some good candids. With a 1.4x tele, its got just as much reach too.

A prime always has superior sharpness as there are no moving parts

Remember that shot is unsharpened and at ISO1600

Not to mention it's a damn fast lens too with max aperture at f/2.0

If you need 135mm focal length then I'd take the 135/2 over a 70-200/2.8 any day, plus it's a heap cheaper

Not wrong - it shows everything and in huge amounts of detail. I must admit I cant wait to get a handle on this lense. Some of the 5D & 135L pictures over at Flikr are nothing short of breathtaking.

    Girlfriend says "WHAT FLAWS?" ;-)
