I think by the time I could afford that kind of setup (say current leica at ISO 1600 + noctilux) you'll be able to get equivalent quality from the A7s mkV at a f/1.8 lens at ISO 6400 :p

*edit* That time is almost now I guess :D

I wonder when we'll get a DSLR with that calibre of sensor, can't be much longer now

My Leica+Noctilux doesn't get used much these days, but it makes me feel good.

I found an ancient 40/2 that someone really patient had taken the time to add a proper focusing tab.
So I got true summicron rendering, size, and now ergonomics, why on earth I didnt cop the summicron price is way beyond me, but I'm not complaining.

I also got a C-Sonnar 50. That too passed my handful test with flying colours

took a while to figure out this lens, but eventually it started churning out the style it's famous for

and it's got buckets of it :)

Added a Canon EOS M3 mirrorless to my kit, mainly for travel. Snagged it cheap at Dick Smith, $350 after cashback for the M3+18-55 IS STM Kit. Hard to resist at that price

I haven't been involved with the digital game much of late, but in selling basically all my gear, I've been looking to put together a really simple DSLR kit. An FX body and 2-3 prime lenses.

I picked this old girl up for absolutely nothing last week, and couldn't be happier. I absolutely loved my D2X, but shuddered at the thought of shooting above ISO 400. In the testing of done so far, I would happily shoot at ISO 2500+ on this body, which just blows my mind. I'm going to keep my eye out for a cheap D3s, as I imagine I'll eventually upgrade, but for the time being I'm loving the D3

Yeah mate, I got it from Leederville Camera House. I tried to get them to price match the CameraPro 10% off Sony deal they had last week, but they wouldnt have a bar of it. Ended up negotiating an extra battery, UV filter and lens cloth. The lens cloth and UV filter are worthless, but by the time i paid freight and credit card fee for CameraPro, I would have been about $130 better off, so the battery brings that down to about $40. Happy to pay that to pick up and not worry about freight! Oh, and im moving overseas in a month, so $490 back from the govt thanks!

I went from a 5D2 to an Oly OMD EM1 to this. Ive only taken a few frames so far of the Alpacas here at the inlaw's place, but im absolutely loving the files out of it. I loved the Oly, probably my favourite camera ive ever had, but I couldnt make 16mp work for me and my landscape printing desires... gah :tired:

They didnt even bother responding to me regarding a price match for that promo lol.
Its where i'd be buying mine, they're priced ok and have good support.

Nice pickup, definitely an upgrade over the EM1!
