I upgraded the Olympus OMD-EM5 Mk1 I bought off HANKFISTA

I'm still a noob, but that camera I use pretty much every day so felt maybe i'm good enough to upgrade slightly, so I went with the Panasonic GX9.

I originally wanted the G85, it seemed the best compromise between price and my skill level, but the Ted's guy told me the DX9 is very very similar, which is is, except the screen doesn't flip (I don't care) and a few other little things I don't care about

Well, he forgot that it has a 1.25x crop factor in video (all I use the camera for...) vs. the G85 which has 1.1x.

    Damn.

Oh well, I still love it and I am still way too fresh to let this stop me. I'm actually quite surprised how much better it is than the M5, I thought the M5 was the ducks nuts. Heh. Well, I guess it was for 2010. The crop factor will give me a good enough reason to upgrade to an OMD-M5 Mk III or a GH5S once my skill level warrants it, I guess. Heh.

That is one absolutely sweet sweet lens! Have fun with it.
It also has the added benefit of strengthening your stabiliser muscles, depending on how you use it.

I just bought a Samyang 85 1.4 as my first lens for the A7iii. Should arrive in a week or two. Have you updated the firmware? I've heard the new firmware improves the AF performance - but you need to buy the damn update dock

Nah haven't updated the firmware. If you decide to get the dock definitely give us the scoop.

Long time since I bought something new.
Visited MAP Camera in Shinjuku. Walked out with a black 2nd hand X100F.
Enjoying the added resolution over my old X100. Can see the limits of the lens @ f2 now. I hope that the successor gets a lens upgrade or even better, IBIS.

Tilty screen would be welcome too, but feel it will probably go the way of the xpro3 for the next one.

Speaking of Xpro3, I got to manhandle one, damn that thing was snappy to focus. Flip out LCD screen would have annoyed me no doubt as I do like to chimp my shots.
Tempted me over the X100F but wasn't looking for another system camera, my 5d3 and accumulated lenses do the job perfectly fine when I want to get shit done.

The camera stores in Shinjuku are awesome, could easily spend the whole day browsing. 100% recommend!

Ended up deciding on the Hero 8 black over the Hero 7 black. Can’t change the lens, but it looks a bit more detailed in normal use so I can always just defish the image instead of using a non fisheye lens, or use linear mode too I suppose, it might end up just as detailed as the 7 with a changed out lens and end up more versatile overall, HyperSmooth in 240p etc, high setting looks good for wide as well.

I just have to cut the foam out a little more
