I don't have any problems. Most my stuff is streamed over wireless from a samba/windows share on my laptop

Yup, still using it. Works a charm! Only one site has an issue (for streaming game shoutcasts! It's an issue being resolved right now but haven't needed it for a bit (game streaming) so haven't bothered looking at it.

XBMC would allow you to connect a HDhomerun. Boxee developers removed that part of code because of legal issues and the markers of HDhomerun changed their T/C

I think they were reconsidering it now

I've had HLV videos constantly randomly buffering, loosing audio and skipping

However you can goto flash version of the video and have no dramas

hah yeah that is it. That and it takes a bit of work to get it up and running correctly, well did for me. Once it is working it is awesome.

Glad i'm not the only one who is enjoying it :)

Yes still using it fairly regularly. The latest updates seem to have brought a certain level of stability to the product. There is even a proper remote app for Android now although you need to pay $6 for it.

Does it matter if you import these or not? I am very interested in the recent slingplayer application release.

So how's everyones Boxee ownership going?

I've had mine for other a year now and the initial love affair is long finished. It seems like every new update brings with it more problems than fixes.

Today I've started using my Boxee to stream DTS/DD for the first time and discovered that the BBox has a chequered history of this. I'm one of the lucky ones. I only get loops of crackles and pops from about 1/3 of my media. The unlucky ones get no audio at all.

At the end here. If I can't get this fixed I'm building large slingshot out of exercise bands and firing this thing over the horizon.

I'm still in love with mine, purely because 99% of the content I watch is local and it is awesome for that.

The other 1% is YouTube (which works great) and SBS Online/ABC iView which also work great.

I quite like mine, it's only for local media so I cannot fault it for that. It just plays everything without issues.

The only real issue is it died, it has been sent off for warranty lol.

    Hi guys,

Just hoping someone can do me a favour and shoot me a copy (a scan is fine, even a photo) of their Boxee Box reciept if they bought it for less than retail (even slightly less).

    Much appreciated!!!!

JB Hifi are now $249. Try one of the other retailers selling for $199 like MSY, Mwave, Scorptec or Umart. Or pricematch one of these retail stores at Officeworks and get it for $189.

Yeah it was just a sale at the time. It will come up again at that price there. Just a matter of waiting if you can, or doing the price match if you can find a receipt.
