    Hi All,
My trusty Sony ST-DE835 is starting to throw up a "PROTECTOR" message intermittently and I suspect isn;t worth getting repaired (and I don't have the skills to trace and change transistor pairs).

Anyone got any advice for a decent but well priced receiver just to run a 5.1 system. Running old Bose 301 at the front, and VCS30 surround, Richter Krakatoa IV woofer. Nothing huge or special just need something to drive it. Only needs to connect to TV and PS4.

    Thanks Holdenkicks.

For now I ended up grabbing a Pioneer VSX-524 from a guy around the corner on Facey Marketplace for $60. Had not remote or feet but stole feet off my old one and ordered a $15 remote off Ebay. The basics work with my Logitech Harmony anyway for now. Pretty immaculate condition, older dude, dunno if it's seen much use. 93566214_1829590913843954_5057686812697296896_n.jpg

Hmmm, maybe I should flog off my old receiver. Been sitting there for years, working perfectly when I retired it. Probably worth a few bucks.

Phido get an rxv485. They are being discounted to the low $500 range.
