Budget Android TV Box?

    Hey, thanks. I got one the other day too. Works a treat, my only beef is the ethernet implementation. I'll get around it but not much space behind the wall/bracket mounted tv and the adaptor is the size of a corolla.

    No wifi? The 802.11ac that is has is quite good

    I haven't tried it. It would work OK but my router is fairly basic and I have ethernet running to all major devices. I'm a bit old school, wifi is ok for phones and tablets etc but navigating things like plex and streaming, skipping fast forwarding through decent bitrate movies or the boy pulling a 10gb update on his Playstation you just can't beat wire.

    I agree but the chromecast ethernet dongle is only 10/100 .

    Yeah that's a bit NAF for 2020. Still, I have more faith in it sustaining that bandwidth if required than via wifi at the other end of the house with phones, tablets, laptops all fighting for wifi. 100Mbps is more than enough for me in reality.
