Slab for new workshop getting poured in a couple of weeks hopefully, then I can put the shed up and hangar the life size Viper to complete it's build.
Look at those guns!
The ship's even got some too.
I got bored and installed lighting in the three footer's engines.
Looks great. Good to see you go with cool white rather that warm white.
Awesome work Baz
Do you have any tall buildings nearby to test aerodynamics?
Where do you find space to display such awesome things? Do you display them, store them, or use them for your charity fundraisers?
Imagine being locked in iso with Baz.
You would come out looking like robocop.
I'd come out looking dead. I'd try keeping up with him, helping out, and suffer the consequences of the incredible workload he places on himself. I couldn't manage 10% of the work he does in his own time, let alone maintain a job as well.
Baz is an awesome role model. My hero . I've often shown some of his work to people I know, like a proud dad , and they are all astonished at how driven he is.
I've just finished building a hangar for it. I will be taking it to events after I build a trailer for it and yes, charities will be allowed to use it at my discretion. Unlike the Iron Man suit, this one has no mission. It's for me.
Awwww.... you guys are too good to me! God bless yer li'l cotton sox!
Isolation? Not bored at all. In fact, I'm exhausted! Still working and raising kids, while trying to get all the projects wrapped up. No end in sight yet.
After I got the shed up, mostly alone because of the lockdown, I started to move everything in and erect structures, benches, stud walls and Dexion racking systems in for all my storage solutions. Once it's all in and insulated, sheeted and electricity wired in, I will be demolishing the shed at the other end of the house, behind the last bit of the Viper.
Yesterday, I worked with the concreter to finish the last bit of cement out the front of the hangar.
Once it's set in a couple of days, I'll push the 1:1 Viper around from the other end of the house, then I can start building two more rooms where it sits.
In the move I had dropped my lathe off the bench and onto the concrete, damaging it quite a bit, so I have been madly repairing it. came close to breaking my leg. While I was at it, I made some stands fro my grinders to take care of my sharpening wheels and buffing/cleaning wheels.
Every couple of days I have to forge out some more prospectors tools as I am selling them like crazy.
In the quiet hours around midnight I work on little fun projects made out of scraps from the workshop floor and bin.
Whenever I get some down time I get out in the creeks in the goldfields and do some panning, a much needed mental health break for Baz.
A fellow AvE fan?
An awesome YouTuber/machinist Have a look at his videos, I'm pretty sure they're up you're alley.
Ah! As soon as I heard the bit at the end, "Keep your dick in a vice", I remembered I have seen one of his videos on FB a while back.
New video on the Viper! Enjoy!
Do you get much from panning mate or just a bit of an R&R activity?
I do alright mate, but yesI it's an awesome reset.
