Aaaaaaah, guess I read that many pages back.
Yep, that's been covered a few times bloke. All in the FAQ's here mate. https://www.facebook.com/groups/240486113096646/?ref=bookmarks
Come and join in.
All good, been following your builds from the beginning, just had a few beverages last night.
Did you not watch his engine test video?
I would make a sizeable donation to see it fly out of there (genuinely) under its own power
Read the post above yours.
Over the last couple of days I've managed to steal a little time here and there.
A little chisel and paint work done on the guns. Looking badass.
Starting to detail the engines now. I found out that the prop in the side is the air regulator/water trap off a compressor. Now I just have to find a couple of non-functioning units to install to look the part. I couldn't believe Bunnings didn't sell the coils of small diameter copper pipe for plumbing. The smallest they have is 1/2 inch.
Managed to pre-fit the second engine exhaust module, but now I'm running out of room behind the ship, so demolitions today, once again.
Automotive shops should have brake line tubing that would be spot on for what you’re after. Easy to bend and shape as well.
Holy shit Baz.. Freaking amazeballs man!!!
You need yourself a "Baz Cave" (see what I did there?).
Thanks man. I'll go check out super cheap and repco.
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BAZMAAAAAAANNN!!! yeah ok.....
At least the suit should be more comfy than the iron man suit
they probably won't have it, "bundy tube" is what you are after but it is steel, usually 3/16" or 1/4". brake suppliers will carry it. a HVAC supplier should have small diameter copper.
Actually, all the actors complained about how hot the pilot suit is. The Chromoflair material is a rubberised metallic. I have some and it looks like a mobile sauna.
Thanks mate. Good lead.
By the way, I uploaded my new logo thanks to PunX0r. to Teetalk. Unfortunately they don't do the web address printing down the sleeve like I want, nor do they print the larger logo on the back of a hoodie, (they do for everything else).
Builds By Baz t-shirts and stuff.
Until I can find a similar setup with the options I want, this will do.
I get $2 for every shirt which isn't much, but it all helps towards the builds and you get a nice shirt.
they might have small diameter copper tubing though, it's used for mechanical oil pressure gauges and the like
Demolitions complete, (of one wall at least). Area all cleaned up and rubble removed. I have a lot more room to continue the build now. Smoothing and detailing along with the engine exhausts to finish and clad the legs in steel housing.
A mate dropped off an air filter/water trap/ It's not exactly the same as the screen-used prop, but it's pretty close.
I managed so steal a bit of time here and there, then pulled an all-nighter last night. Had a beer and went to bed around 2:30am. Tired, but got a lot done.
Assembled, painted and mounted the last engine exhaust module, then started cutting the second of the three turbine exhaust fans.
This time I made sure the fan can be passed through the module exit without having to disassemble it.
/me imagines great plumes of plasma exiting those fans
