You're going to need one hell of a long extension cord on your next encounter with the Cylon's...

I changed some of the press stud arrangements on the flak vest, so that the bottom straps can unclip and feed through the front belt loops on the flight suit. Colours of the studs are off, I know, but it's hard to get the right ones here. I'll paint them later.

Extension lead? Nah mate, you need some proper cable to run this beauty, think about the voltage drop over a couple of light years of copper.
There's an f-off huge prefab concrete warehouse going up at a site just down the road from work, couple of proper big cable drums lying around... say the word and I'll cast my eye over it re. a bit of midnight requisitioning.
    :D
The trailer concept looks ace btw. Nice work on the dollies, very neat and sturdy looking. Never do anything by halves do ya?

Bummer. But still good for the "Media" file if Baz decides to take the Viper to shows/cons for fundraising purposes. :)

    It's been a while.

After a massive purge of social media and extraneous hobbies, I've been able to focus on the Viper.

I've taken the port wing off, put the Viper up on it's dolly trolleys and now it pushed around the shed at the slightest touch. The starboard wing is now fabricated and waiting for a block of time where I can do the final shaping and sanding on it. I've also got the starboard wing on saw horses, where I can concurrently shape and sand it's underside.

The landing gear has got a fresh primer coat on it, as the bare steel was starting to flash-rust.

The rest of the ship has been filled in with loose/broken panels, gaps and alignments and sanded in readiness for fibreglassing. All the fibreglassing materials are now here.

I drilled the 30mm bore in each cannon end and mounted the second cannon. This week I have also been working late nights on electrical and lighting. There is a new 80 amp power supply in the back end to run all the studio and sub woofer speakers in the engine nacelles, as well as the motor drive for the turbines and the lighting in the rear thrusters.

Cockpit instruments are all retro-fit with LED lighting to the instruments.

I reckon between kids and job, I am a mere few weeks away from fibreglassing the hull.

I'm mostly on Facebook with the WIP now, so come and say hello. https://www.facebook.com/groups/240486113096646

    Back to it.

    Cheers, Baz.

Awestruck by the scale of this mate... the effort you've put into designing the structure, the finishes and details, sound fx, lighting, obtaining the necessary raw materials and specialised parts e.g. the cockpit gauges, and putting it all together....
and we all thought that the Iron Man suit was pretty impressive eh? :)

The engineering of the dolly/transport arrangements is so tidy, the engine nozzles look incredible, and how many respirator cartridges have you gone through so far?
Bloody outstanding project once again Baz, I'm glued to this mate.

Anybody who knows me at all on this forum understands that I am not the sort of person who would normally say "get this on TikTok right now dude".
But seriously mate, if you don't already have this up on TikTok for all the Kidz I'll have to drive down there and slap ya. :D
