Check out the aussie arcade forums.

Arcadeworx have a great rep, but $2.8k is a huge amount. I have ~ a third of that in my 2 player mame cab, and if you can find a gutted ex arcade cab for ~$100-$200 and have the time to spend a few weekends. you too could be all set up for under a grand.

    Food for thought.

yeah I know I can do it cheaper, but its not the money that's the problem. I just want something that works and was wondering how good their machines actually are.
work too much and no time for that

i'll check the aussie arcade forums, thanks

Their machines are the best. Troy is a perfectionist.

    Thats what i was after.
I'd love to build my own but time vs money factor and its easier to spend the $$$ and have a fully working machine. I work with wires all day and really cbf'ed looking at any when i get home

Will keep yous updated with what i get but i think so far its a go'er

The only thing I'd check with that machine is that the 1p controls are the second set from the left. You don't want to be standing at right angles to the game when playing solo. And I guess for the sake of symmetry then 2p controls should be immediately to the right of those. I'm sure they have thought of that but its something to check out before buying.

Arcadeworx are renowned for awesome work and buying one of these should give you years of reliable gaming. Enjoy

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread, but much like Tim, I'm looking for a prebuilt machine (2P, Spinner + Pinball buttons), but with the exception of wanting lightgun support. Anyone know anywhere in Aus which sells?

This guy seems to build awesome units but his feedback on ebay isn't that crash hot so unless you can pickup and inspect i would advise against it

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mame-Cus...171124914967?pt=AU_CoinOp&hash=item27d7d6fb17

I have a Vewlix Cab being built by this guy in melbourne

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ARCADE-M...GHT-CABINET-/200965799088?hash=item2eca7ebcb0

But i am not obliged to buy it. He has a FB page you can ask questions etc.

    You missed the other 2

    - "total idiot dont buy from this guy"

    - "wouldnt recommend this guy to anyone sells the goods but doesnt give them to you"

The issue is that there is only one of his cabs listed in feedback. Not great feedback for an interstate sale in my books
