wouldn't be ironic if it turned out that the "rumoured" PC delay was because IW were going to unfuck their console port for the PC?

perhaps it would also explain the mysterious disappearance of Grant Collier.

wau wau wau, this can't be right.

So while the yanks pay $60 USD we have to pay $90 USD? we're paying 50% more for the same product.. why exactly? taxes, tariffs?

Correct. The same thing happened with MW1. We paid $60 USD on Steam, while Americans paid $50 USD. I haven't read a single valid reason (like tax) to justify the extra charges to us. Europe is also paying as much as we are by the way. So I can only assume they're charging that much because the distributor holds a monopoly in our region, and they can.

Short thread about the price hike here: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=822525. I've posted some more detail there (post #12), and a link to a thread on the Steam forums about this.

Correct. Retail here does not want to have to compete, because they know they cannot. So once more we pay the GBT (Great Beaches Tax). Activision are the main perps for this, but I believe rockstar and maybe THQ all do similar. OR did.

I haven't really been following the latest CoD because I've been greatly disappointed with the last few.

There's no way I'm going to buy cod and restrict it to Steam. I'll buy the game with the full package like I did for all the other CoDs. Why is it so expensive? I think I paid $70 at the time of release for CoD4...WITH A FULL PACKAGE

Have they given us dedicated servers yet? What the fuck are they thinking... WOW.

    Fuck it.

I don't see the need to post the exactly same post in two threads? http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?p=11047608#post11047608

IW have really fucked up, I didn't see this coming and the amount of hate it's generating is really bad.

I guess this is what happens when you fuck over the audience that PUT YOU IN BUSINESS. Not the console market, the PC gamers.

For someone who isn't going to buy the game you sure whine a lot about it.

    Because this makes no difference.

The irritating price differential has been discussed ad nauseum.

Just looked at cod:mw2 pc requirements, nothing out of the ordinary except the whopping 16 GB of hard disk space, other than to deter pirates from downloading the game i don't see the point of it being 16 gigs....

Unless they filled it with uncompressed audio and gave us yawn inducing extreeemely long cut scenes (just like metal gear solid 4) then i would understand where all that space has gone into and why the xbox360 version isn't any different (prolly amputated the HD audio and made cut scenes pre-rendered to save space)
