Not surprised they tried, surprised in the method.
Year over year the COD playerbase on PC is dismal and dead within weeks of release... locking away a game mode can only make that worse.
It's Activision. Since MW2 they've been on a quest not to make better games but to find new ways to extract every last cent they can from the games they do make. It's so egregious I just don't want to buy their games anymore. I was hoping that they'd be learning some lessons from the feedback from other games and Black Ops 4 - but come on, putting reticles as MX in a full priced game? Really? Pay to win lootboxes in a AAA full priced games, just wow.
Stop preordering this shit, stop buying it. Stop eating it and convincing yourself it tastes like candy when it's the brown soup from Koticks bung hole.
yep, i am definitely passing now
i'd rather play breakpoint than this
but the beta is fucked so nope! can't do that either.
It's gonna be a no for me dawg x2 for that as well. Not going to pay some AAA for another copy pasta POS.
well, john wick hex is out the following week on EGS. may be that might pique your interest?
YT'ing it now
But I have Borderlands 3 incoming from an SSD deal. Both of which I do not need right now.
What does the ps4 exclusive mode actually achieve?
Do companies really think it will generate that many more ps4 sale over pc because of an exclusive mode? Now it's just pissing off people who might have bought the game.
I think the answer is clear.
No anger on my side. I speak with my wallet. Unfortunately, people will still buy it. And guess what? Those who do, do nothing but enforce this behaviour.
So is this game any good? I got 3 new games for free(Control, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Call of Duty Modern Warfare) from buying new video card, but haven't tried Wolfenstein and Call of Duty yet.
Just finished Control and it was awesome, Call of Duty better than Wolfenstein?
You can't get much worse than Youngblood sadly. CoD was looking nice until the train wreck of microtransactions and loot boxes began to get revealed.
I wouldn't touch it, its looking like another SWBF2 P2W loot boxes. They're going to drop the loot boxes 1-2 months when all the reviews are done, like they did with Black ops.
Weapons in MTX loot boxes shouldn't be in an AAA title that costs retail price. People buying this game will only encourage them to keep doing because they can never get enough money.
I'd rather play youngblood over modern borefare!
Meh. The beta was massive fun so i'm absolutely going to be buying this day one.
to each their own. maybe i'll get it a year later when the next one comes out LUL
Honestly, the 'survival' portion wouldn't be the biggest draw anyway. I mostly play TDM. Survival spec ops might be fun but I don't need it right away. The loot boxes were also handled quite well in WWII in terms of gun balance with the starting guns and the ease with which you got crates and in-game monies to get specific guns through contracts and collections.
The fact that this new COD doesn't have DLC maps is great and the main reason this COD will probably last longer than previous ones.
