    Hi all,

I have recently done some upgrading to my kit and would like to ensure everything is covered in case of theft or accidental damage.

I'm shooting with canon gear and have noticed they provide insurance

Do you have any recommendations on whom to use?

    thanks in advance

Most pros use PPIB/AON as insurers for gear here in Oz.

Others go with a home and contents that provides cover when out of home (usually non working photographers)

Okay sweet. I did notice that the insurance canon offers is underwritten by AON.

I think this may be the best choice as I'm doing paid work full time now :)

Yep the canon one is subsidised so could be a good way to go.

Go with the Canon/AON insurance mob if you shoot with Canon.. by far the cheapest insurance out there.. (if you're under the limits.. not the cheapest if you're over the limit)..

My Gear is insured with Aon but it is pricey at around $800 pa. PPIB would have been cheaper for just camera gear but I have some Video stuff also and they wouldnt cover that ( even though the lines these days are blurred video/photo

I find that QBE is definetly the most reliable and cheapest
