Has anyone done any macro shots using the IXUS 400? I'm tossing up whether to grab this one or the Nikon Coolpix 4300, which I know has great macro features.

How's the delay time between pressing finger and taking shot?

    Thanks

Not too bad. Thanks for that tangcla.

What's the shutter delay like? Is it almost instant? Or is there a 1-2 sec gap between holding finger and shot taken?

It's not too bad... about half a second I'd say. Better than other digital cameras I've tried out there :)

    Ahh that sounds pretty reasonable.

I'm getting my new dig cam really soon and the Nikon was on my list though something really put me off after reading many reviews.

The battery life of it sucks. Some ppl complained that even after 20shots the battery would just run out and u needed to recharge it.

The IXUS is definetly better. I'm getting it :p
But thoguh before I decided to get it I looked into a lot of other ones. And the ixus in the end wins

    Ahh sounds good :).

What kind of battery life do people get out of the IXUS 400?

And where are you buying yours from Logistics?

Battery life is pretty good, except the only downside is that there is no way to see how much battery is left - the only notification you get is when the battery low icon shows up, and by then it's already too late :upset:

I guess I'm just used to the Sony's InfoLithium display... that thing ROCKS! They're pretty accurate, too...

    Ahh sounds very nice indeed.

antstar: You getting it cheap in a warehouse doesn't help anybody...

Does anyone know of any retailers that sell this one cheap?
