Cant connect to internet unless VPN is on

    Sorry, my mistake, it is a Sagemcon F@st 5355. My wifi card is a tp link and i got confused when it appeared under ipconfig

    no worries, easily done.

    that modem is not a good piece of gear, look at replacing it if you can.

    Yes, i understand what you mean..

    If i get a new modem/router, is it just a matter of plug and play or do i need to call Telstra/NBN Co and get them to configure things from their end?

    mostly plug and play from a Telstra point of view, just configure for DHCP authentication. but checking the modem itself is NBN compliant is your issue.

    if you are using voice via VoIP then you need to use a Telstra modem, the Thomson TG799 units are far superior.
