    Hi all,

Took this on car cruise on the weekend, thought it turned out quite well :)

I took the photo at 3 different exposures (AEB), and spliced them in Paintshop Pro.
I tried using Photomatix to create a HDR using the 3 photos, but it didnt turn out looking as good as if i did it manually.

Only thing i dont like about it is the soft left car.
Guess thats the limitation of the Sigma 10-20 at 10mm :(

its a really nice pic, should be pretty easy to sharpen up that last car to match the focus of the rest.

    Haha I like!

Though, you are right about that car on the left. Maybe crop it out (after the owner has his copy).

Also, the sky does look like it has had some heavy levels tweaking. Try making is a pano and cropping the top half just above where the sun is breaking through.

How far into sunset was this taken?

Any chance to re-shoot with a Grad ND filter, and shoot at 16mm or so?

    What aperture?

No chance to reshoot it :(
    The 3 photos were all F8.0 ISO400 at 1/250, 1/500 & 1/1000.

The sky didnt actually get that much tweaking... mainly just saturation.
The cars got quite a lot of tweaking though.

Stuff me, if thats the corner sharpness at f8 I am strangely intrigued to see what it looks like wide open! Coke Bottle Lens!

    Looks like Christies.

Not a bad photo indeed

There's been some really really nice sunsets in Adelaide recently.....some as in your pic where sunbeams shine through darkened clouds in an otherwise blue sky.

Dont forget about the RA28 in that photo too ;)
There are individual photos of each car too... i may put them up later, but that depends on the owners of the cars.

Yeah, it has been good the last week or so for sunsets.
And yeah, it is Christies beach :)

Thats bizarre for this lens at f8, plus the other corners look sharper, although I cant really tell from this photo. Sure you don't have a misaligned element or something? Easy fix though, if you selectively sharpen just this car after you resize.

    Awesome pic!

The subject matter is very nice. I have a 74 Celica - love the TA22's.

You have gone a nice job; keep it up.

Christies is pretty nice in summer, and at least you can take you car on it. Although I've heard some want to get rid of that.
