Looking to purchase one of these batteries:

And the charger I have is an Accucel 6.

The battery doesn't have balance leads, presumably because it has a battery management system built in.

Am I able to charge the battery using the LiFe profile on the Accucel without balance leads?

My experience with the Accucel has often been that you need balance leads connected in order to charge.

    Cheers!

If your Accucel 6 is the same model as mine then there is a 'charge' option that can be used without connecting the balance lead. If you connect the balance lead when using this mode it will check for individual cell maximum voltages to ensure no single cell goes outside of the preset range, however it will not do any balancing. I think it's locked to 3.6V for LiFePO4 mode on the Accucel 6.

My friends and i have 4 accucel 6 chargers between us. 2 of the older ones (mine included) will charge just fine without balance leads. The 2 newer ones refuse to charge without them.

While it has "Over-Voltage, Under-Voltage and Over Current protection" it would be worth confirming it has actual cell balancing/individual cell voltage monitoring and not just at a pack level.
I have pulled a few similar packs apart and found them to have one or 2 cells drained and the others over charged.
