Just go to town and order a container from Aliexpress or Banggood!
Got some new toys today , BLTouch, heatbed pad & Capricorn tubing. Haven't bothered with the tubing but the other stuff is connected, wiring the BLTouch took a while because it's the "official Creality" one so the pin out is a bit screwed.

Hopefully now I can actually get some prints out again. The only thing I'm worried about is the bed thermistor wires snagging on the Y motor, gotta work out how to stop that, I also made the thermistor cable a little to short so that's fun as well.
Willing to sell 20cm of that Capricorn?
The fractal pyramind! Also looks cool against the light
Maybe, dunno what it'd be worth though.
Damn nice print, I might have to try that in silk .
Got my printer up and running today, spent hours trying to level the bed a bit but gave up, got a Marvin printing now.
Amazing! I have red PETG loaded at the moment so might give it a try. How long to print?
Took me about 17 hours in PLA. 0.12 layer it's about 9cm tall. It's a spiral print.
I'm still on an older version of Marlin as I can't persuade a bootloader onto the Creality controller so I don't want to start a long print where I might have to go out while it's printing.
Still waiting for bits before I can fit the MKS upgrade.
Creality have just released the latest version of their Ender 3/5 controller and it comes standard with Trinamic TMC2208 drivers, $US40.
Did you watch Teaching Techs video on that? apparently thermal run away doesn't work but it comes with a bootloader.
Did see that. At least with a bootloader you can install the latest Marlin and configure it properly. )Got side tracked with trying to print TPU, no fun at all!)
Oh Marlin how I... hate configuring it from scratch . Mines finally done but it was a pain getting everything set up correctly. At least I've got a bunch of stuff running like the BLTouch and M600.
I haven't messed with TPU yet but I have got flexible resin which I also haven't messed with yet.
My PETG is in the dehumidifier taking a break so running a few mores test squares on TPU. Very finicky with first layer spacing and it doesn't like a heated bed, at least on glass. About to try on blue tape.
Temperature or 210C seems to work well. (eSun filament)
I ended up ordering the SKR v1.3 32-bit board with 2208 drivers from Aliexpress recently. Cost me about $45 AUD after cashback. Hope it works with the existing Ender 3 LCD
Just did the same but ordered from Creality direct. No cash-back or discount even though I got my Ender 5 there :-( Annoyingly, the order page doesn't work if you have ad blocker enabled - and who doesn't?
Having received no update on my order, checked the Creality website and it's shown as pending shipping. This is 7 days after I ordered it.
Asked if they had them in stock and awaiting a reply. If not in stock, then cancelling order.
Creality hardware is great but their sales support and software support suck big time.
China Number 1!!
Some of the Chinese companies are worse than others. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I have been interacting with JGAurora and they have definitely improved a lot over the last 2 years. Still room for improvement, but far better than some of the others I've had to deal with.
In some cases, definitely Number 2s
Seems the new controller is not in stock although the web-page does not mention this.
I've cancelled the order and I'll just add some TMC2208 drivers to the MKS Gen L board I have.
Can anyone suggest a supplier of TMC2208 drivers?
I'm looking for ones that have the chip on the underside of the board and have the SPI/uart pins broken out correctly.
I've spent a frustrating 20minutes on Aliexpress without being able to find ones that meed these simple criteria.
I might end up going with Watterrott (german) brand from Digikey. These are about $11. I will have to provide and solder the pins in as well as source the heat-sinks so it's not the cheapest option.
